Speech at the 5th World Internet Conference (WIC) in China

Shahzad Aryobee Minister of Communications and Information Technology, heading a high-level government delegation delivered a speech at the 5th World Internet Conference (WIC) in Wuzhen, Zhejiang Province of China.

The conference is attended by the senior officials of telecommunications and information technology from the world including the International Telecommunication Union, the European Union and technology technocrats.

the conference is to discuss over the important topics such as the creation of a collective credit system, the prophecy of the future of the Internet, innovation and creativity in the use of the Internet, international cooperation in the creation of Digital Silk Rood, the promotion of the Internet of Things (IoT), provision the opportunities for development and investment in the Internet sector for economic growth.

During his speech, Minister Shahzad Aryobee, provided detailed information about the state of the Internet and fiber optic network in the country, Fiber optic connection agreement to create a silk road between Afghanistan and China, open access policy and developments in this section, investment opportunities and Afghanistan government support for the private sector.
