Subject: The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology's view on the report of the Supreme Audit Office
Recently, the Supreme Audit Office has released a report denoting decline in revenue of the Ministry of communications and Information Technology in 1396 in comparison to 1395.
The Ministry of communications and Information Technology (MCIT) does not agree with the report and has the following comment about the issue:
1. Prior to the publication of the report, the Supreme Audit Office had not coordinated the issue of accuracy of information and how changes occurred in revenues with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT).
2. According to precise statistics, the revenue of the Ministry of communications and Information Technology increased (by 42 million Afghanis) in 1396 compared to 1395.
Due to the bomb explosion in Zanbaq Square which caused huge damage to Roshan Telecommunications Company, which owes at amount of (44,200,000 AFN) to the ministry of Communications and Information Technology. The company has pledged to pay all its dues by the end of this year.
In fact, the income earned by the MCIT in 1395 was 4288791728 AFN, while the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) made 4270593058 AFN revenues in 1396, if the Ministry had received (442000000 AFN) from Roshan Telecom Company, the revenues would have reached 4712593058 AFN in 1396, which indicates an increase the revenues of this ministry.
The Ministry of Communications is committed to the fairly transparent collection of national incomes and constantly considers itself accountable to the government, the nation and the community in accordance with its laws.
