Minister Mohammad Fahim Hashimi Meets Officials of Internet Service Provider companies

Acting minister of Communications and Information Technology Mohammad Fahim Hashimi met with representatives of internet service provider (ISP) companies on Sunday, February 23, 2020. 

At the meeting the two sides In addition to lowering internet prices, discussed on fiber-optic facilities, security concerns of TV Mountain, frequency and procurement issues.

Speaking at the meeting, Minister Mohammad Fahim Hashimi said Internet facilities are essential to building a digital society, to achieve this, a VICO system must be created.

He added that our main goal is to support growth and development of the private sector, in that connection MCIT is distributing wholesale Internet prices non-discriminatory.

Private telecommunications companies’ officials pledged their full support to the Ministry of Telecommunications in this regard.
