Minister of Communications and Information Technology Shahzad Aryobee attends ITU Telecom World 2018 Conference

Minister of Communications and Information Technology Shahzad Aryobee, accompanied by deputy of ATRA Mr. Sailab Amiri has traveled to South Africa Intending to participate the three day International Telecommunication Union's Conference (ITU Telecom World 2018).

The conference would be attended by nearly 7,000 delegates and ICT ministers from countries and departments around the world.

The South Africa's President Cyril Ramaphosa opened the conference by issuing a statement on the first day of the conference.

Then, Mr Houlin Zhao, one of the Secretary-General of the ITU who had recently traveled to Afghanistan and visited various sectors of the country's telecommunications and technology institutions, called the conference participants to comment and discuss in details on developments, problems and Future plans in the field of information technology in the concerned countries.

During the conference, issues such as the latest developments in information technology, risks of the information society over the next three days, and the development of the 5G network will be discussed. The meeting will also discuss cooperation with small businesses and how they will contribute to the development and provision of investment opportunities.
